Shaker Hymn from Shaker Music. Original Inspirational Hymns and Melodies Illustrative of the Resurrection Life and Testimony of the Shakers. (Daniel Offord, 1884) Solos: Kirsy Robertson, Lindis Kipp & Molly O’Rourke-Friel This hymn comes from the Mount Lebanon Shaker Society, a communal settlement of Shakers in New Lebanon, New York (founded in the 1780s). Music played an important role in the life of Shaker communities, and they developed their own form of musical notation, known as the ‘letteral system’. I am Come into my Garden
