Madrigirls perform throughout the year in Glasgow and further afield. Our main date each year is our Advent Carol concert, which usually takes place on the first Sunday of December in Glasgow University Chapel. We're also available for hire and we're always looking for interesting and unusual gigs - so if you have an idea, get in touch!

ADVENT 2020 - A Light in the Darkness

Our 20th Advent concert may not have been quite what we'd expected but we kept ourselves busy over lockdown recording new audio and video, and rummaging around in our archive picking some of our favourites from the past 20 years to share. The concert included two new commissions - a setting of There is no Rose from Franck La Rocca and a new wassail - The Wren King - from Glasgow based composer Emily Doolittle. The concert also featured 9 new readings, selected from an open call-out to writers living and working in Scotland, and the beautiful artwork of Lithuanian artist Odeta Brazeniene.

​WORKSHOPS

Madrigirls run singing workshops using tried and tested teaching methods for harmony singing. Scores can be provided however workshops are suitable for all abilities as all music is taught by ear. Workshop leaders are qualified choral trainers and conductors. You can find out more about our previous workshops on our Facebook page.
